Siedegsec breaches Idaho National Laboratory

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) reportedly confirmed a security breach after an underground actor known as "Siedegsec" claimed to have obtained a considerable amount of records - supposedly "tens of thousands" - of INL employees as a result of a network penetration. The root cause of the event has not been clarified as of the report time. The actor is believed to be a hacktivist group already linked to similar events impacting NATO and Atlassian. Cyberscoop reports that the same group recently claimed an attack against Israeli infrastructure, providing no specifics on the attack.
